About me

architectural designer · costa mesa, ca · relocating to the bay area
1/4 inch = 1 foot scale physical model, Skinny Tall Timber Urban Tower

For the past two and a half years at Bastien and Associates, a small firm in Irvine, I have built a technical foundation while being given real ownership of the work. I came in focused on design development and visualization, and now take projects through construction documentation in AutoCAD and Revit, coordinating with consultants and city agencies.

Most recently I developed a full 220,000 SF concrete tilt-up set in Rialto, CA and took it through plan check with the city. Working in a small office has let me see how the decisions made at each stage carry through the whole project.

Next, I want to expand beyond the scale of my current practice. I want to work alongside more people and disciplines, grow toward leading a team, and become licensed. At any scale, I care most about spaces that are intentional and considered, where restraint and attention do as much of the work as form.
